Rolesville has gone 8-2 against Knightdale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rolesville Rams will welcome the Knightdale Knights at 6:30 p.m. Rolesville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Rolesville humbled Wake Forest with a 59-11 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 25 points or more this season.
Rolesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlyn Jones, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Bush, who earned 12 points.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Knightdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Millbrook by a score of 54-42 on Friday. The Knights have beaten the Wildcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.
Knightdale found their leader in sophomore Leia Rios, who went 7-for-15 en route to 25 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rios has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ayomide Adewumi, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards.
Knightdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.
Rolesville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for Knightdale, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
Everything went Rolesville's way against Knightdale in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Rolesville made off with a 67-42 win. Does Rolesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Knightdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
