The Crete-Monee Warriors will square off against the Munster Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crete-Monee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Crete-Monee had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Shepard put an end to it on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Astros by a score of 3-1. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Crete-Monee got a good showing from Dylan Dee, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Dee has allowed since May 1st.

On the hitting side, Crete-Monee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bren Milburn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Milburn has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 11 times he's played.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Munster made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bremen on Saturday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Braves. Considering the Mustangs have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Bishop Cappetto made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cappetto was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Owen Roberts looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Mason Jarrett was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last ten games. Another player making a difference was Donovan Craig, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Munster is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Crete-Monee, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.
